About Your Practitioner
Meet Steven Hoffman, Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of New Jersey and a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine as issued by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). After graduating from Montclair State University with a bachelors degree in Business Management with a concentration in finance, Steven ran a successful environmental contracting firm here in New Jersey for ten years. For the past fifteen years Steven has studied under Grand Master Chong M. Lee who holds a ninth degree black belt in Hap Ki Do and was trained in acupuncture and acupressure in his native South Korea. Currently, Steven holds a third degree black belt in Hap Ki Do.
Steven went on to formalize his training in the healing arts at the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine where, after three years of training, he graduated with honors and passed three separate national board tests in Acupuncture with Point Location, Foundations of Oriental Medicine and Biomedicine on the first try. After opening a successful acupuncture practice here in Princeton, Steven then went back to school for an additional two years to study and complete a certification in Chinese Herbology. After again passing the national board test for Chinese Herbology on the first try, Steven incorporated the use of Herbology in to his practice under his acupuncture license. Having performed thousands of treatments for dozens of distinct health care issues, Steven has the knowledge and experience to help you with almost any problem you may be having.
Princeton Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine also maintains a strong network with other health care providers, ranging from chiropractors and therapists to holistic and western medical practitioners as some problems may require additional intervention.
