Acupuncture & Athletes

Aaron Rodgers, Chad Pennington, Jose Bautista, Grant Hill, Michael Phelps the list goes on and on. And what do these athletes have in common? They all have utilized acupuncture and oriental medicine to help them either recover from injury or keep them performing at peak levels. Heck, some teams, like the San Francisco Giants even have a team acupuncturist on staff. What else do these athletes have in common? They are millionaires who have the very best at their disposal and they turn to this ancient healing art to help them perform at world class levels. Like my last post about Battlefield Acupuncture, these athletes don’t care about the latest studies or how many scientists support or refute the efficacy of this medicine, they simply know what works and will do anything to give themselves the slightest edge in competition.

Acupuncture is very effective at treating acute injuries, helping athletes get back in the game that much quicker. Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine can also be used to treat nagging aches and pains that come along with the intense training schedules that these athletes adhere to. This is what you saw with the cupping marks left on many of the Olympic swimmers last summer. Acupuncture helps patients sleep and rest more deeply and soundly so that they heal better and more quickly.

But I’m not a millionaire, how can I possibly afford these wondrous treatments! Acupuncture treatments normally cost from $60 to $120 depending on the practitioner. This is pennies when compared to other types of treatments and if the best of the best are using it, don’t you deserve the best? If you are suffering from an injury or painful condition, call us or schedule your consultation (see below) and we will review your situation and let you know if and how we can help.
