There is a big difference between optimal health and lack of symptoms. Optimal health is not simply the absence of disease and dysfunction, but the ability to perform optimally. Performing optimally is simply impossible if you are dealing with symptoms (or signals from your body that something is wrong). It is very difficult to live your life in a content and fulfilled manner when you are suffering with insomnia, headaches, fatigue, indigestion, pain, depression/anxiety or most any other health complaint.

Many people cannot even envision this. They’ve become used to living with or managing their problem that they cannot even imagine what life would be like without it.
Obviously, the path to optimal health begins with the elimination of symptoms. And you can feel better, there is help. Acupuncture and Oriental medicine can be a powerful tool to put you on this path.
Working holistically with our patients, you are treated as a person, not a symptom or label. Everyone is different and everyone who comes in to our practice is treated individually so that your treatment plan addresses your unique constitution and needs. Diet, nutrition, lifestyle advice and tips and tools to use outside of our clinic will speed your healing and involve you in your own healing process! This ensures that as the frequency of treatments diminishes and you stay on the path of optimal health
Once symptoms are eliminated then the work towards optimal health can really begin. Energy, fulfillment, contentedness, being happy with who and where you are, these are the signs that you are living optimally. And optimal health will mean different things to different people. If you are 50 years old, no you are not all of the sudden going to be able to go try out for a professional sport team, but you will be able to live your optimal life. At this point wellness visits are crucial to maintaining your path. Wellness visits are typically at a frequency of once a month and our goal is to get all of our patients to this point. Practicing with this goal in mind helps us stay true to our patients.
